So you want to sell your house. Consider hiring a “discounter”. OR - What if you could be your own agent? Either way, if you’re selling your house, you can save a ton of money. These brokers offer all the usual services and expertise. But instead of charging you 6% of the sales price, they take 4%, 3% or even a flat fee amounting to only hundreds not thousands of dollars. You save $7,000 to $10,500 on a $350,000 house—a no-brainer, I’d say. Newsweek has written about some options to consider.
